I do love when bands look like they are having a blast, lots of smiley faces!

Struggling a little to get the photos up on Alternative Music Hub right now, so heres a small teaser from The Mission in Motion/ Jonsez gig last night. Both bands killed it, such talent right here in Australia!

I’ve decided I’m not a massive fan of flash. The only time in which I’ve found it useful is taking group/portrait shots of people when its very dark. It takes away everything I like about photos and they all look the same, it’s very depressing.

Before I started doing this I’d only really keep 5 or 6 photos from maybe 60 or 70. Having to get a substantial amount of usable photos at these gigs really doesn’t give me time to appreciate the beauty in each one. It’s a big rush to get them all edited and up online before the deadline.So I’ve been going through looking at the recent ones and taking time to fall in love with some. I think I’m going to get this one printed among a few others. I want to start filling my walls (and maybe my housemates place walls :P ) with my photography because I love these photos. It’s actually beautiful and clear when it’s blown up and not horribly compressed by Tumblr.. I love the lighting.

I had so much fun and I think I’m getting better and better every time :)

I didn’t even struggle for photos this time around, I only put in the ones I liked.

I am REALLY into ambiance lately. Capturing some sort of moment or mood… that’s super general isn’t it, that’s what people want to do when they take a photo!! I can’t put what I mean into words so I’ll just show you. I love the harsh dark/light in this photo.  More to come.

I went up to the Central Coast on the weekend and went out and about with my camera.

Had fun taking pictures of bugs, I’ve never done that before. Was actually pretty impressed on how my lens handled the macro situations, not perfect but fun!
